Purasleep Mattress Reviews – Unbiased Purasleep Review

Purasleep mattresses are among the very few exceptional mattresses that have a long track record in the industry. Buoyed by their longevity and ability to maintain quality, support and comfort, there is nothing not to love in Purasleep mattresses. It may not be the most popular, or be compared with the $4,000 (overpriced) Tempur-pedics, but perhaps it’s not far off the mark.

Without pulling punches, this mattress has exceeded the expectations of many people garnering high ratings from real users and much backing by experts. And who knows – you could be next in the line.

In this review, I will cover all that you need to know to help you make a wise choice as to whether it is a mattress that you should be going for. I have tested this mattress fast-hand and since September 2015 when the testing started, I am here to reveal what I feel is necessary for you to make that informed decision.

Purasleep At A Glance

Purasleep is a US based mattress manufacturer who focuses on making memory foam mattresses using eco-friendly bio-technologies. The mattress is designed from start to finish from US, and the company doesn’t import any materials but construct everything from their Georgia based factory. Their foam mattresses are plant based designed allowing them to be easily recycled.

This company has been certified to meet the required safety and quality standards set by CertiPUR-US®.  Purasleep have passed the quality tests and boasts being among the few to have the certification seal. As if that certification wasn’t enough, the mattresses are further subjected to rigid testing to evaluate the foam contents and the materials to ensure that they offer quality support and longevity. And just so you know, below is a list of some of the things that are tested by CentiPU-US;

-Low Emission (VOCs) for indoor air quality
-Mattress made without any ozone depleters
-Mattress made without any PBDE flame retardants
-Mattress made without any mercury, lead and heavy metals
-Mattress made without any formaldehyde
-Mattress made without any prohibited pthalates

How Good Are PuraSleep Mattresses?

A quality mattress is defined by its design, quality of materials that have been used as well as the technology used in designing it. Let’s look at what Purasleep mattresses have to offer;

PuraSleep 10 Inch CoolFlow Memory Foam Mattress

purasleep reviews

A Quick Review

Purasleep coolflow is the most popular mattress under Purasleep’s production line.

The mattress measures 80 x 60 x 10 inches and weighs 67 pounds and is 10 inches in density (2.5″ of CoolFlow gel memory foam which allows proper cooling and heat elimination, 7.5″ high density core layer which provides optimal support and also a proper body alignment.)

When it comes to motion transfer, this mattress has shown impressive performance among many users, I included. The energy absorbing foam perfectly eliminates motion transfer and you won’t experience any discomfort even if two people are sleeping on it. So you can forget about rolling to the center, tossing and turning while sleeping.

Many users with back pains have also reported experiencing relief, thanks to its ability to conform to the body curves perfectly.

And if you have always experienced hassles when cleaning your beddings, you will love the fact that Purasleep has an easy to remove washable cotton cover.

This hypoallergenic memory foam mattress is naturally made with mites and mold inhibitors, so you don’t have to worry about dust mites and odors like you would with some other mattresses.

This mattress has medium firmness, soft and comfortable though it might not appeal to someone looking for something that is super firm.

To say the least, Purasleep mattress has exceeded our expectations and for its low price tag, this mattress is a steal. Click on the button below to see the current price on Amazon.

Here’s the in-depth version of our review

And be sure to select whether you need a Queen, King or Full size mattress. Below is an in-depth review of Purasleep mattress, covering all important factors.

Conforms well with the body

Tossing and turning is one of the most common issues that people experience after some months of using most mattress brands. Motion transfer and how the body conforms with your slumber is something everyone should be keen about. PuraSleep mattress have got this spot-on as their memory foam mattresses have been engineered to equally distribute the body weight and ensure pressure relief.

If you are worried about sinking deep in your bed, this is not something that you will experience with this slumber. This mattress gently pushes back and makes you feel like you are sleeping on a cloud.

Reduced heat buildup

purasleep coolflow synergyMemory foam mattresses are well known to have a high heat buildup and more often than not, you will hear people complaining of their mattress becoming too hot as they sleep. This is something that seems to have been well addressed with the Purasleep mattresses, thanks to their unique CoolFlow technology, something that many mattress makers ought to borrow.

Durability

How long does this mattress last? This is another question that all of us need to be concerned before placing any order, especially on things like mattresses where we spend 1/3 of our lives. Let’s get things straight here. If you expect this mattress to last over 20 years, then this may not be the mattress that you are looking for. The comfort that this mattress gives is excellent and can’t even be matched with many mattresses that come with higher price tags. However, after some years, depending on your weight and how you take care of the mattress, you should expect it to start seeing some sagging (Some people have complained of the sagging and sinking at the middle).

Some Off-Gassing Noted

The only downside with this mattress that we have, though not a deal-breaker, is the fact that this mattress kinda fumes out in the first few days.

Although this is residual and normal for many memory foam mattresses, someone who is allergic may have to leave it for a couple of days for the mattress to air-out and completely do away with the smell.

Overall, I recommend this mattress for someone who is looking for value in a mattress. The mattress performance is just top notch given that it’s half the price of most top notch mattresses.

You might also want to check out Purasleep’s other best selling mattress, the Purasleep Synergy. Below is our review on the latter.

PuraSleep Synergy Mattress Review

Yet another Purasleep mattress product that is turning heads. Although it’s not as popular as the Coolflow, it beats many mattress brands. Below is just a short review of the Purasleep Synergy.

The Good about Purasleep Synergy 12-Inch Mattress

The purasleep Synergy luxury cool has been designed using a unique proprietary Energex formula which helps in absorbing and dealing with motion transfer.

The synergy mattress has earned praises for its body conformability and in helping relieve pressure.

The fact that its hypoallergenic SofTouch cover is easily removable is just great.

Synergy has been great in maintaining a cool sleep without tossing and turning and keeping off heat.

The Downside of Purassleep Synergy

Unlike the Coolflow, I feel that the Synergy (latter) is a bit overpriced, and Purasleep’s best selling Purasleep Coolflow is just way better when comparing the features and the overall performance. I also recommend that you check out Shiloh See Shiloh @ Amazon in this case, which according to our in-depth reviews is one of the best memory foam mattress that you will come across in the market today. And for its price tag, it just couldn’t be better.

I think that apart from Purasleep Coolflow being cheaper its price tag is well matched to what you are getting. It’s the best alternative to Purasleep Sysnergy 12 inch and there is nothing not to love in this mattress. Check it out on Amazon.  You can also check out our Purasleep Serenity review here.
